Statistics (MS or PhD)
The
MS and the PhD in Statistics are
awarded by the Graduate College. Instruction is offered through the College
of Liberal Arts and Sciences. The MS is offered with or without a thesis.

Decisions for graduate financial support are typically made by April 15 for the upcoming academic year, so applications from students requesting financial support should reach us by February 15.

For this degree program, you will need to send some application materials to your academic department and some to the Office of Admissions, which handles Graduate College applications.†

- International students may also be required to submit TOEFL or IELTS scores to comply with the University's English Language Proficiency Requirements.
- Once recommended for admission, international students must send a Financial Statement.
† To save on mailing costs, send all materials—aside from test scores that must be reported by the testing agency— to the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science. Mark which materials are for Admissions and the statistics department will forward those materials.
