  • Variety. About 100 Areas of Study allow you to pull courses from a variety of disciplines.
  • Joint degrees. With our Combined Degree Programs, Iowa students can simultaneously earn two or more advanced degrees.
  • Research opportunities. Iowa graduate students can master the art and techniques of Research in many fields. The University received more than $382 million in external funding for scholarly research in fiscal year 2007.
  • High-tech resources. UI Libraries' collections are ranked 18th among the nation's public research libraries. Plus, Iowa has dozens of wireless hot spots and 26 easy-access computer labs across campus, so you can access the Internet and your e-mail almost any time.
