First-Year Seminars for Fall 2009
Due to small class sizes, your first-choice seminar may be full by the time you register. Bring a second and third choice to Orientation. Search for your favorite topics here, or in ISIS (the University's online course registration tool) using the directions below. You will not be able to register before Orientation.

How to
search for
First-Year
Seminars
on ISIS

• Click into ISIS (Iowa's online course registration tool) Here (a new window will open)

• Click on "Courses" in the top left corner of the page (you do not need to log in to view course listings)

• Verify that the "Session" field in the top right corner indicates "Fall - 2009"

• In the "Keywords" field, type "First-Year Seminar" (don't forget the hyphen and do not include an "s" at the end of the word "seminar")

• Click the "Search Courses" button at bottom right

• The results page should display at least 90 course options

• For a more specific search in ISIS, it may be helpful to select a "Department" from the drop-down menu at the top of the page
