I chose to come to Iowa because I felt it offered the most of any college I was looking at. Iowa offers a number of degrees in the sciences, health care, and foreign language, all of which were of interest to me as an incoming student. I felt the University was far enough away from home that I could spread my wings, but close enough that I could return to family and friends on occasion. I also believed the University offered the best education and most opportunity for the price of tuition and living expenses.

I took general education classes in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, and then applied and was accepted to the College of Pharmacy. Because Iowa is a research university, I’m learning about up-to-the-minute advances in pharmacy and the health sciences. In fact, I’m often studying developments that were made right here on campus.
