Coming from a smaller town, I wanted the experience of a large university and more diversity. I wanted the kind of experience only a big school could offer.
The thing I really like about The University of Iowa is its proximity to a major teaching hospital because I want to specialize in the clinical side of pharmacy. A lot of my professors also work in the hospital, so they bring real-world experience to the classroom. Also, working on an anti-coagulation study with one of my professors will boost my résumé, and it’s helping me see how research studies work.
Road-tripping to the 2006 Outback Bowl in Tampa with four of my good friends was an experience I'll never forget! I've become a huge Iowa football fan, and there's nothing like seeing the Hawkeye black and gold everywhere when you're thousands of miles away from home. |
