Since transferring to The University of Iowa from a community college, I’ve been able to get involved in a variety of organizations. One of the most rewarding experiences I’ve had so far has been my involvement as a peer tutor for the Tippie College of Business Writing Center. I meet with six to eight students each week, offering suggestions and providing feedback on a variety of assignments.

Iowa has a reputation as a writing university, and writing is emphasized across campus. My work as a tutor has been fun, and it’s allowed me to brush up on my own skills while giving back to the school.
