There is a long history of voluntary articulation between Iowa's community colleges and Regent universities.

Statewide articulation agreements
Soon after the creation of the Iowa community colleges in the mid- to late-1960s, discussions of transfer issues began with the Regent universities.

Articulation Agreements

Liaison Advisory Committee on Transfer Students (LACTS)
First organized in 1972 and confirmed as an ongoing advisory committee in 1973, LACTS continues to have an active role in facilitating transfer.
