Residence halls
Living in one of Iowa's residence halls is by far the most popular option among first-year students because the halls are located close to so many classes and they are great places to meet people.

Living-learning communities
Living-learning communities are an opportunity to live on the same floor (or in the same residence hall) with students who share your goals or interests (such as sciences, the arts, or writing). Community members have at least one class in common and enjoy group field trips, service projects, and social events.
