Many students have a deep interest in a variety of visual arts media as well as a desire to continue their creative activities. Some may declare a major in art or art history, while others who major in another field don’t want to give up opportunities to practice their skills and learn new techniques.

The new Visual Arts Living-Learning Community is a place where all of these students can explore the many visual arts resources of the University and the surrounding community.

As a member of this community, you will find your creativity sparked by the art happening all around you. There are many opportunities to work separately and together on art projects.

Activities include:

  • Experiencing art and earning college credit through a Visual Arts Living-Learning Community Gallery Attendance course
  • Field trips to area museums
  • Technique discussions with faculty members and local artists

The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, in association with the School of Art and Art History, sponsors the Visual Arts Living-Learning Community. All entering students are eligible for admission.
