Women in Science & Engineering
If you are majoring in a science, technology, engineering, or math discipline, consider this community sponsored by the Women in Science & Engineering (WISE) Program.

This community includes first-, second-, and third-year women majoring in an array of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) disciplines.

Incoming first-year and transfer students have the advantage of living in a supportive community with women who have already successfully completed their first year at the University and are well prepared to help with the academic, social, and emotional transitions to campus life.

This community is located in a quiet environment in the UI residence halls.

Benefits include:

  • Facilitated study groups
  • Peer tutoring and mentoring
  • Tutoring sessions specific to your math and science classes
  • An upper-level "buddy" to show you the ropes
  • Career exploration opportunities
  • Presentations on research opportunities, community service, and volunteer activities

Accepts first-year, second-year, third-year, and transfer students
This community accepts first-year, transfer, second-year, and third-year students majoring in a variety of science, engineering, technology, and math disciplines.
