Accessing AlcoholEdu

How to Log In to ICON
The online test will be available on ICON (Iowa Courses Online) beginning July 27, 2009.

• Log in at http://icon.uiowa.edu.
  • Sign in with your HawkID and password.
• You must have already registered for fall classes in order to access the site.
• Open or expand your Fall 2009 class list in ICON by selecting the "+" sign next to Fall 2009.
  • Once you can view your fall courses, select "AlcoholEdu."
• The first time you enter the AlcoholEdu site, you will need to complete the registration form in order to create an account. 
• You will not need to create an additional log in name or password. 
• You may log in and out of ICON after completing each section of AlcoholEdu. 
  • Section ends are marked with a "Next" button.
• When returning to the course, ALWAYS log in through ICON.
  • This is the main technical problem encountered with AlcoholEdu and the main reason for receiving an "incomplete" for the course.
  • Do not log in directly through the AlcoholEdu site, only through ICON.   
• It is your responsibility to check your uiowa.edu e-mail account frequently for instructions and updates about AlcoholEdu.
  • Not checking e-mail is not a valid excuse for failure to complete AlcoholEdu.
