How to determine your program date
The program dates you are eligible for will be influenced by the major you declared on your application for admission.

Other things to consider before making your online reservation:

  • If you haven't decided on a major, select "Open Major" on the online reservation form.
  • If you intend to teach at the high-school level, indicate your subject area (history, English, chemistry, etc.) as your major.
  • If you have changed your major since you applied for admission, be sure to indicate your new major on the online reservation form. Let us know immediately if you switch majors after reserving your program date.
  • If you are a transfer student majoring in Art or Art History with a studio emphasis, you must attend a Portfolio Review on Friday, January 16, so you will need to select an earlier program date.
  • If you have to take the English Proficiency Evaluation (which will be indicated in your letter of admission, if applicable), your eligible program dates may not correspond to your major. Therefore, you must call Orientation Services at 800-553-4692 to make your program arrangements.

If you were admitted with an "interest" in an education, nursing, or pharmacy major
If you have been admitted to the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences as having an "interest" in a major (such as elementary education or nursing), this does not guarantee your admission to another college within the University. Please contact those colleges directly to find out about their specific admission requirements.

Confirming your program date
We will attempt to honor your first choice of program date but this is not always possible due to limited space in the programs as well as advisor availability. Your Orientation date will appear in your confirmation letter and also on your Admission Profile on ISIS.

If for some reason you are unable to attend, please notify us at least two weeks before your program date.
