How to calculate your Admission Index Score
If you are an Iowa resident ranked 100th in a high school class of 420 students and your ACT composite score is 26, here is how you would compute your Admission Index Score:

1. Take the size of your high school class and subtract your position in it.

    420 - 100 = 320

2. Divide that number by the number of students in your class.

320 / 420 = .76

3. Multiply by 100. (This calculates your percentile rank: 76.)

.76 x 100 = 76

4. Double your ACT* score.

26* x 2 = 52

5. Add your percentile rank.

52 + 76 = 128

Your Admission Index Score would be 128.

*If you took the SAT instead of the ACT, use this ACT Equivalency Table to see how we will convert your SAT score for purposes of using it in this formula.
