First-Year Student Application Process
(for U.S. citizens and permanent residents)

If your high school does not rank
We will base our admission decision on a holistic review of your application.

  • Your high school courses and the grades earned in those courses, your cumulative GPA, course rigor, ACT and/or SAT scores, and any other information that you provide us will be taken into consideration.
  • If you are concerned that your academic profile does not accurately reflect your abilities, apply through our Individual Review Process.

If you are a homeschooled applicant
We will conduct a holistic review of materials submitted by Homeschooled Applicants.

If you took the General Educational Development (GED) test
Send us a copy of your GED certificate in addition to any high school transcripts (to supplement your application and ACT or SAT test scores).

If you don't meet our published requirements
Consider our Individual Review Process if you don't meet our published admission standards.

If your first language is not English
If you are a U.S. citizen or permanent resident whose first language is not English, you must take an English Proficiency Evaluation during your Orientation program.

  • Exceptions are made in the cases of applicants who have:
    • An ACT English subscore of 21 or higher (or a combined SAT Critical Reading score of 540 or higher),
    • AND a TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) score of 600 and higher on the paper-based test (or 100 and higher on the internet-based test)
  • If you think you qualify for an exception, Contact Us.
