Admission Requirements for First-Year Students
First-year students enroll in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences or the College of Engineering.

The colleges of Business, Education, Nursing, and Pharmacy admit qualified applicants at the beginning of their sophomore or junior years. Students with exceptionally strong high school records will be considered for early admission to the College of Nursing or the Tippie College of Business for the first year.

The College of Medicine has undergraduate programs in Clinical Laboratory Sciences, Radiation Sciences, and Nuclear Medicine Technology.

Honors Program
About 15 percent of the incoming class is admitted to the University of Iowa Honors Program each year.
