English Language Requirements for Admission
International
applicants whose first language is not English must submit results of
the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
for admission to the University's undergraduate colleges. (The University's
institutional code is 6681.)
- Regular admission—Undergraduate applicants must meet minimum TOEFL scores for Regular Admission to the University.
- Conditional admission—Undergraduate applicants who do not meet the minimum TOEFL scores may be considered for Conditional Admission to the University.
Alternatives to the TOEFL
An
ACT English score of 21 or a combined SAT Critical
Reading score of 540 may be used to satisfy
the English language requirement.
On the International English Language Testing System (IELTS), a total score of 6.5, with no subscore less than 6.0, may be used to satisfy the English language requirement. All IELTS test takers also will be required to take the on-campus English Proficiency Evaluation.
