Scholarship Renewal Information
These scholarships for first-year students are available for more than one year.
You do not need to reapply
There is not a renewal application for any of the scholarships listed here. The scholarship is automatically continued each year if the student meets the requirements specified.
- UI Presidential Scholarship—You can receive this award for up to 4 years or until your receive your bachelor’s degree (whichever comes first) providing you maintain full-time enrollment each semester and maintain a 3.00 cumulative grade-point average on all course work attempted. - Old Gold Scholarship—You can receive this award for up to 4 years or until your receive your bachelor’s degree (whichever comes first) providing you maintain full-time enrollment each semester and maintain a 3.00 cumulative grade-point average on all course work attempted. - University of Iowa National Scholars Award—You can receive this award for up to 4 years or until your receive your bachelor’s degree (whichever comes first) providing you maintain continuous full-time enrollment each semester at The University of Iowa, remain in good academic standing, and continue to pay nonresident tuition. - Iowa Heritage Award—You can receive this award for up to 4 years or until your receive your bachelor’s degree (whichever comes first) providing you maintain continuous full-time enrollment each semester at The University of Iowa, remain in good academic standing, and continue to pay nonresident tuition. - Advantage Iowa Award—You can receive this award for up to 4 years or until your receive your bachelor’s degree (whichever comes first) providing you maintain continuous full-time enrollment and a 2.5 cumulative University of Iowa grade-point average. Contact Admissions for more details.
- Halas-Sayers Scholarship—You can receive this award for up to 4 years or until your receive your bachelor’s degree (whichever comes first) providing you maintain continuous full-time enrollment at The University of Iowa, remain in good academic standing, and continue to have financial need based upon the FAFSA review.
