The Transfer Transition Course
Register for our highly recommended Transfer Transition Course; it's specifically designed to introduce transfer students to Iowa.

Living-Learning Communities
Living-Learning Communities are an opportunity to live on the same floor (or in the same residence hall) with students who share your goals or interests, including other transfer students.

Community 234
Community 234 is a living experience specifically tailored to transfer and returning students. Housed in the north side of Parklawn Residence Hall and in Building 3 at The Lodge, Community 234 rooms feature kitchens, private restrooms, nearby parking, and no meal-plan requirement.

Internship opportunities
Start making career connections while you are still in college. The Pomerantz Career Center can help arrange job-shadow opportunities and internships around the world (including opportunities to earn course credit while you work).

Student organizations
Join one of the Student Organizations
on campus; there are now more than 500 options!

Study abroad programs
Spend a winter, spring, summer, or even a year studying in another country. Investigate our Study Abroad Programs.

Writing programs
Enjoy Iowa's international reputation for instructive Writing Programs. Our faculty and alumni include Pulitzer Prize-winning authors, poets, investigative reporters, and even an editorial cartoonist!

Performance opportunities
