Hawkeye Visit Days
During Hawkeye Visit Days, University staff and student volunteers will guide you through a full day of activities arranged for you and several hundred other visitors.

  • A general information session
  • A panel of current students
  • Campus bus and walking tours
  • Residence hall tour and lunch
  • Academic area sessions (some include tours)
  • Optional tours of campus and several colleges

Hawkeye Visit Days 2008-09
Reservations are required for Hawkeye Visit Days events. Registration for spring programs will begin Dec. 1, 2008.

Arrange your visit
Hawkeye Visit Days fill quickly and space is limited, so make your reservation at least two weeks in advance.

Register Online or call us toll-free at 800-553-IOWA (4692) or direct dial 319-335-1569 or 319-335-1566. The Admission Visitors Center, located in the Pomerantz Center, is open 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, except on University holidays. If you would prefer to visit on another date, check out our Weekday Visit options available throughout the year.

How to get here
Iowa City is served by the Eastern Iowa Airport in Cedar Rapids (CID), which is about a 20-minute drive from campus, and the Quad Cities (MLI), a 60-minute drive from campus. Please confirm your campus visit with our office before making travel arrangements.
