Weekday Visits for Transfer Students
A Weekday Visit arranged to fit your schedule and focus on your individual interests might include:

  • Meeting with an admission counselor
  • A campus walking tour
  • A residence hall tour
  • Lunch in a residence hall
  • Observing a class
  • Meeting with a faculty member or staff advisor in your area of interest

Arrange your visit
Call us at least two weeks in advance to schedule your visit. You can reach us toll-free at 800-553-IOWA (4692) or direct dial 319-335-1569 or 319-335-1566. The Admission Visitors Center, located in the Pomerantz Center, is open 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, except on University holidays.
Visit activities are limited during academic breaks when classes are not in session, and on those Saturday mornings in the fall and spring when we are open.

Reservations are required and space is limited. Call the office for dates and details.

How to get here
Iowa City is served by the Eastern Iowa Airport in Cedar Rapids (CID), which is about a 20-minute drive from campus, and the Quad Cities (MLI), a 60-minute drive from campus. Please confirm your campus visit with our office before making travel arrangements.
