variety of programs for students in kindergarten through sixth grade
are offered on our campus throughout the year.
Summer
and weekend programs
- Art & Outdoor
Adventures—Bicycle riders of different abilities are invited
to experience visual and literary storytelling.
- Saturday
Art Workshops—Spend nine Saturday mornings creating masterpieces
with some of our art education students.
- Sports
Camps—Offering individual instruction in baseball, field
hockey, tennis, swimming and more. Most programs require that students
be at least 10 years old to apply. However, the soccer camp will
accept students as young as 5, and the softball camp will accept
students as young as 8.
- Summer
Youth Entrepreneur Camp—Offering
entrepreneurship and business courses for students in grades 4-6.
- Talented and Gifted Student Programs—Our world-renowned center for gifted education offers a variety of programs During the Summer and During the School Year for students in grades 2-12. Topics include math, science, foreign language, writing, and more.
- Wildlife
Camps—Study
prairies, wetlands, woodlands, and birds through the programs offered
by the University's recreational services department.
Pen Pal Project
The Pen
Pal Project is an early intervention program in which University students exchange letters with elementary school students at four Iowa grade schools (in Cedar Rapids, West Liberty, Sioux City, and Waterloo).

There's a lot to see and explore at Iowa. Visit the Museum of Natural History,
Museum of Art, the Old Capitol Museum, or the Athletics Hall of Fame.
