Mitigation group boasts expertise from across campus

Once the waters receded following the floods of 2008, a lengthy recovery process lay ahead. Engineering professor Larry Weber helped lead the effort, co-chairing a flood mitigation task force that enlists expertise from various areas of the University’s campus. Engineering, science, and planning skills are just some of the talents of the team, which continues to evaluate several options that could minimize damage from potential flooding down the road.
