Scheduling classrooms across the University of Iowa campus is a challenging task in a normal situation—and the summer of 2008 was nowhere near normal. But Renée Houser and her staff made the puzzle fit together. Not only was it their responsibility to find places for fall 2008 courses to meet—they also had to make sure the rooms had adequate furnishings and supplies. But there was opportunity to be found, as hundreds of classroom updates were completed before the fall semester opened.
