| Cheryl Herr conducts research on and teaches British and Irish film and culture. Current areas of interest include the underground in British film, the cinematic depiction of the built environment, British popular music and the movies, and film phenomenology. A recent National Endowment for the Humanities Fellowship recipient, Cheryl is currently writing a book called Understanding the Everyday in British Film. She explored the cinema of rural crisis in a 1996 book called Critical Regionalism and Cultural Studies, and in 2002 published a monograph on Jim Sheridan’s The Field. |
