Studying communication and relationships positions students to understand social, personal, family, and work relationships. The quality of our personal lives – in terms of mental and physical well-being and health – is integrally dependent upon the quality of the relationships we have with others. It is through our web of relationships with others that we construct our identities of who we are. It is through this web of significant others that we come to understand the world around us. It is through this relational web that we act on the world to accomplish change.
A list of courses that you can take to satisfy requirements for the Communication Studies major is listed on the back-side of each cluster along with a list of other relevant courses that you might consider taking while completing your degree requirements. These courses are often helpful for exploring possible minors or certificates.
