CSW creates committees to work on projects the Council deems important. The current committees are listed are left. Students, staff, and faculty are invited to participate; membership on the Council is not required. Contact the committee chair for more information about the committee' work and meetings.

The Celebration of Excellence and Achievement Among Women is not a CSW committee, but CSW has always participated in planning that event. The 2011 Celebration was held on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 in the Old Capitol Senate Chamber.

The Celebration of Excellence and Achievement Among Women began when the University gathered in 1982 to award the Jane A. Weiss Memorial Scholarship. The celebration has grown to include the Jean Y. Jew Women's Rights Award, the Margaret P. Benson Memorial Scholarship, the Adele Kimm Women's Studies Scholarship, the Ada Johnson/Otilia Maria Fernandez Women's Studies Scholarship, and the Winona Hubbard Scholarship.
