Satellite Uplinks

University of Iowa offers broadcast media fee-based satellite uplink services and can transmit using C-band analog NTSC or digital signals. The UI service is fully redundant (dual-thread, multi-path fiber and diesel generator power) to reduce the chance of transmission failure.

Satellite Uplinks Services prefers at least a two-business-day notice to prepare for an uplink. However, it can usually respond in less than a day. Call 319-335-5898 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time Monday through Friday (select option No. 2 from the menu if a response time of 24 hours or less is required), or send email to uitv@uiowa.edu.
