There are eleven colleges within The University of Iowa:

College of Liberal Arts and Sciences

Dean Linda Maxson oversees Iowa’s largest college, which offers more than 100 undergraduate and graduate programs, including nationally ranked programs from art to social psychology to plasma physics to creative writing. College of Liberal Arts and Sciences

College of Dentistry

Dean David C. Johnsen oversees this college, which offers the DDS, BS in Oral Health Science, MS and PhD in Oral Science, and degrees and certificates in the dental specialties. College of Dentistry

College of Education

Dean Sandra Bowman Damico oversees this college, which offers undergraduate teacher certification in elementary education and eight secondary areas, and graduate programs for prospective counselors, administrators, testing specialists, and psychologists. College of Education

College of Engineering

Dean P. Barry Butler oversees this college, which offers undergraduate and graduate programs in chemical and biochemical, biomedical, civil and environmental, electrical and computer, industrial, and mechanical engineering. College of Engineering

College of Law

Dean Carolyn C. Jones oversees this college, one of the top 25 law schools in the country. It offers the JD and the LLM in international and comparative law. College of Law

College of Nursing

Dean Rita Frantz oversees this college, which offers top-ranked programs in
gerontology, nursing administration, nurse anesthesia, and pediatric nursing. College of Nursing

College of Pharmacy

Dean Donald Letendre oversees this college, which is ranked 17th in the nation. It offers the PharmD, postgraduate residencies, and advanced degrees and collaborates with the pharmaceutical industry. College of Pharmacy

College of Public Health

Dean James A. Merchant oversees this college, which offers graduate programs in biostatistics, community and behavioral health, epidemiology, health management and policy, and occupational and environmental health, as well as the MPH and MHA. College of Public Health

Graduate College

Dean John C. Keller oversees this college, which grants most graduate degrees at Iowa. It also offers instruction to students pursuing a variety of interdisciplinary and departmental graduate degrees, such as genetics, human toxicology, and informatics. Graduate College

Henry B. Tippie College of Business

Dean William C. (Curt) Hunter oversees this college, which offers degrees in accounting, economics, finance, management and organizations, management sciences, and marketing, as well as the MBA. Henry B. Tippie College of Business

Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine

Dean Jean E. Robillard oversees this college, one of the top 10 public medicine and biomedical research schools in the nation, offering the MD, PhD, and training in more than 25 areas. Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine
