On-Campus Off-Campus Eligibility Requirements Student must register for at least one semester hour at The University of Iowa. Rate of Pay Iowa minimum wage is $7.25 effective January 1, 2008. Wage rates are established by the employer and are based on job responsibilities. Work Schedule During the academic year, students are restricted to a maximum of 20 hours per week based on State of Iowa law. (Exception: Thanksgiving break, winter break, and spring break students may work up to 40 hours per week.) During the summer, students may work up to 40 hours per week. Eligibility Requirements None.
