Work-Study Employers
On-Campus (University)
Any job on campus will qualify for Work-Study support if it is not affiliated with a religious or political organization. The employing department pays 50% of the student's wage. The Work-Study program pays the remaining 50% until the student has earned the amount of their Work-Study award.
Off-Campus
Currently, over thirty community employers representing non-profit or government agencies are approved to hire Work-Study employees. The employer pays 50% of the student's wage. The Work-Study program pays the remaining 50% until the student has earned the amount of their Work-Study award.
Community Service
Community service jobs involve services which improve the quality of life for community residents. Both on-campus and off-campus community service employers offer a variety of jobs that meet the Federal definition of community service. If the position qualifies for community service support, the employer pays 40% of the student's wage. The Work-Study program pays the remaining 60% up to the amount of the Work-Study award.
