Imogene K. Fisher Award

Awarded to students with financial need in order of preference: 1) Medical technologists pursuing a graduate degree with a hematology-related career goal; 2) Medical technologists pursuing a graduate degree; 3) SENIOR medical technology students with a hematology-related career goal.

Value: $250 per semester; must reapply each semester.

Deadline: September 15 for the fall semester and February 1 for the spring semester.

Iowa Association of Health Care Recruiters

Awarded to a student currently enrolled in an accredited medical technologist program at Iowa who has financial need. An interview may be requested.

Value: $500 (one award).

Iowa Medical Technologists Scholarship Foundation Award

To selected Iowa residents accepted in a medical technologist clinical program at Iowa who demonstrate scholarship and motivation. Financial need is considered.

Value: $400 or more (two awards).

Contact: Clinical Laboratory Sciences/Medical Technology Program, 160 Medical Laboratories.

Deadline: March 1.

Veterans Affairs Tuition Grant

To a student who is enrolled in the medical technology program, employed at the Iowa City, IA, Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC), and committed to employment at the VAMC after graduation.  Based on financial need and scholarship.  May be renewed.

Value: Up to full tuition (one award).
