Other Sources of Scholarships

Scholarships are one part of the typical financial aid package students receive through The University of Iowa. Students also may be eligible for grants, loans, or student employment based on need.

Not everyone will qualify for a scholarship listed in the UI scholarship listing. The Office of Student Financial Aid recommends that students continue to search for other scholarship sources, such as:

  • Online scholarship search services
  • Business, civic, and fraternal organizations
  • Employers
  • Churches

Other places to look for information include:

  • College and university libraries
  • Public libraries
  • High school guidance offices
  • Division of Sponsored Programs, University of Iowa, 100 Gilmore Hall

Publications

For more information about financial aid resources see the listing of Financial Aid Reference Materials provided by the Financial Aid Information Page. Many of these publications contain valuable information and can often be found in public libraries and high school counselors' offices.
