Not long after a January earthquake sent devastation rippling through Haiti, UI faculty member Chris Buresh scrambled to Haiti with medical supplies and helped treat hundreds of patients. Buresh, who has participated in medical missions to Haiti since 2003, sees the Haitians’ resilience as one reason for optimism in the face of this recent disaster.
