Updating Faculty and Staff Listings
Staff and faculty can update directory listings through the HR Self Service Site http://hris.uiowa.edu/ (Hawk ID and password are required).
Click on "Name and Address Change" in the bottom lefthand corner of the "My Information" page of the Self Service Site.
Directory information that can be changed here includes:
- Name
- Campus Address
- Campus Phone
- Home address and phone
- E-mail routing address (For more information, see the ITS site.)
New employees
For the first two weeks of your employment, your home address and phone number are restricted from publication on the University’s web directory. On the fifteenth day, this information will be published on the web directory, and eventually in the University’s hard copy directory. You have the option to continue to restrict this information if you wish. To do that, follow the directions below.
Restricting information
Some people prefer NOT to list their home address, phone and other information in the directory. To make such a request, use the “Restrict” pull-down menu bar directly above the effective date window at the bottom of the HR Self Service Site change of address screen.
Changes made on the HR Self Service Site will be reflected within 24 hours in the online directory. Your contact information as it appears in the online directory in late September will be used for the next edition of the University of Iowa Student, Faculty, and Staff Directory (the "Herdbook") due out in November.
