Undergraduate participation in the Honors Program (number of students completing the disciplinary curriculum in honors); statewide participation in comprehensive K-12 honors program

Target 3a: Increase by 20% the number of students completing the disciplinary curriculum in honors.

During 2001-02, the number of students completing the disciplinary curriculum in honors increased to 316. The 2005 target is 359 students.

Target 3b: Increase by 20% the number of students participating in the comprehensive K-12 honors program.

Students participating in comprehensive K-12 honors program

During the 2001-02 school year, 1,668 students participated in the comprehensive K-12 honors program (746 during summer 2002 and 922 during the 2001-02 school year). This is an increase over the previous year. Two programs were added this year: Challenge Math and the Iowa Online AP Academy. The 2005 target is 1,725.
