International Programs Open House

Each spring, the University of Iowa's Office of International Programs welcomes area K-12 classes to an international open house, held in the lounge of the International Center on the University of Iowa campus. At this event, students and their teachers have an opportunity to meet international students and their children from a number of countries around the world. K-12 students participate in hands-on projects including musical performance and dance, storytelling, art projects, and food preparation. Prior to the open house, teachers may request a packet of materials, including information about the countries represented, in order to prepare students for the event.
