Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) degree program on ICN

The College of Public Health offers a 12-hour certificate program over the Iowa Communication Network and/or the World Wide Web that is designed for individuals seeking to strengthen their knowledge and skills in basic public health competencies.

The program is directed toward individuals in public health who are currently in the work force, although it is also available for individuals who are not presently working in the health care system but who are considering a career in public health. Nine of the 12 hours of required course work may be applied toward the Master of Public Health (MPH) degree if the student has already earned a Bachelor's degree and is admitted to the MPH program.

Persons interested in the Public Health certificate program must apply for formal admission to the program, but may commence course work in advance. Registration for off-campus courses are scheduled through the Center for Credit Programs at www.continuetolearn.uiowa.edu/ccp.
