The College
of Public Health, founded in 1999 as part of the Public Health Initiative,
was established by The University of Iowa to become a
comprehensive resource for the study and practice of public health. The College
offers a variety of graduate degree programs as well as a new certificate
program. The College also is home to more than 25 multidisciplinary research
centers, which focus research efforts on topics ranging from agricultural
injury, birth defects, and clinical trials to aging, environmental health,
