University Hygienic Laboratory Student Grant Program

The University Hygienic Laboratory offers financial and technical support to junior high and high school students in Iowa who wish to pursue a science project. The project must be under the direction of a mentor or science teacher. An average award of $250 is available per project to cover the costs of laboratory analyses and may be used for such tests as: pesticides; total and fecal coliform; nitrate and nitrite; ammonia; turbidity, suspended solids; pH; chloride.
