Complimentary appointment defines an employment-related affiliation with the University through which the appointee typically provides a complimentary service and receives neither compensation nor fringe benefits.
Persons with complimentary appointments typically receive the following:
- Hawk ID
- Self service web site
- Campus email with "uiowa" address; may use remote access for fee
- Campus wireless
- ProTrav
- ID card services
- Library borrowing privileges
- Access to Recreational Services at employee rates
- Door access as provided by Marlock system
