Completing Your Personal Enrollment
These instructions will assist you in completing your Personal Enrollment for The University of Iowa Benefits Program.
LONG-TERM DISABILITY INSURANCE
The Long-Term Disability Insurance is mandatory, and is paid for by the University.
Coverage is no longer incremental over the first 5 years of employment so there is no longer a need for wrap-around coverage. Because the University pays for this coverage directly, there is no longer an after-tax option.
The long-term disability
insurance program provides a 60% salary replacement level.
