Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)

Accessing FSA Account Information Online
(Balance and Payment Information)

You may access your account information online through the Employee’s Self Service web site.

The online information is the most up-to date; it is updated daily and will show your account balances and payments at that point in time.

If you have direct deposit, claims and payments are processed every business day.  Once your claim is processed (which can take up to a week), the payment will be reflected on the HR Self-service web site.  If you are reimbursed by check, the self service site will show your account balances as they will be after your check is issued.  While direct deposits are done daily, checks are only issued once a week.

You can verify you’ve been reimbursed by 1) checking the “Spending Account Recap” on the Self Service web site to see the payment, or 2) checking the “Direct Deposit” area of the Self Service web site, or 3) checking your bank account.

At the end of each month you will receive a spending account statement in campus mail, which shows the activity and balances in your health and dependent care spending accounts.  THE INFORMATION ON PAPER FORMS MAY BE OUT OF DATE BY THE TIME YOU RECEIVE IT.  WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO CHECK THE SELF SERVICE WEB SITE FOR MORE CURRENT INFORMATION.  You may elect to stop delivery of the paper form by going to "Stop Paper Mailings" on the Self Service site.

If accessing the information online is convenient for you, you are encouraged to opt out of receiving the monthly statements. This is also an option on the Self Service web site.
