Supervisor/Employee requests a Career Advancement, Career Promotion or Career Shift and Corresponding Salary Adjustment

Supervisors should do the following to review or support a request for a salary adjustment:

Change of Status—Pay Adjustment

Career Advancement within current Job Classification

Salary adjustment based upon expanded scope of responsibility and/or competency level within current job classification that has increased the level of responsibility of the position. No change in classification.

ZAC

Change of Status—Classification Change

Career Promotion

Change in classification to a higher classification and pay level based upon a significant change in responsibilities and performance.

ZCP

Change of Status—Classification Change

Career Shift

To reflect a change in duties and responsibilities that is a “better fit” in a different classification that is at the same pay level or lower pay level.
