Eligible University of Iowa employees who are new parents due to the birth of a child, placement of a foster care child or adoption of a child are able to use applicable leves to permit bonding and provide care.
A leave may qualify under University Parental Leave and/or University policies consistent with the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA). When the employee is eligible for parental leave and FMLA, the leaves are used concurrently.
