Military Leave Codes
Military Exigency Leave
- Code 60-FMLA Vacation-Military Exigency, no one is ill or injured
- Who: All employees who accrue vacation
- Pay Source: Accrued vacation
- Code 61-FMLA Unpaid-Military Exigency, no one is ill or injured
- Who: Merit employees when accrued vacation is not available
- Pay Status: Unpaid
- Code 62-FMLA Unpaid-Military Exigency, no one is ill or injured
- Who: P&S, SEIU and Faculty (Employees are encouraged to use vacation prior to using unpaid)
- Pay Status: Unpaid
Military Family Care Leave
- Code 63-FMLA FCL Sick-Military Family Care, hours are drawn from the University calendar year FCL leave.
- Who: All employees with accrued sick leave and have an FCL balance
- Pay Source: FCL is drawn from accrued sick leave
- Federal regulations require when Military Family Care leave is applicable it must be used prior to other FMLA family care leave, e.g., code 53
- Code 64-FMLA Vacation-Military Family Care, hours are drawn from regular vacation
- Who: All employees who accrued vacation
- Pay Source: Vacation
- Federal regulations require when Military Family Care leave is applicable it must be used prior to non military FMLA family care leave, e.g., code 51
- Code 65-FMLA Unpaid Military Family Care, hours are drawn from unpaid leave
- Who: Merit employees
- Pay Status: Unpaid
- Federal regulations require when Military Family Care leave is applicable, it must be used prior to non military FMLA family care leave, e.g., code 29
- Code 66-FMLA Unpaid-Military Family Care, hours are drawn from unpaid leave
