Diversity Award Programs

Catalyst Award, Honoring Diversity

Focus:  Honor faculty or staff members, programs or departments and students engaged in diversity initiatives that have served to promote an inclusive, diverse campus community.

Eligible Recipient:  Faculty or Staff Member

Population/Frequency:  Campus-wide/Annual Award; early February deadline

Initiated by:  Faculty or Staff Member

Procedure:  Submit nomination form; attach a list of the nominee’s contributions and provide specific examples to describe how the candidate meets the Catalyst Award criteria.

Distinguished Achievement Award

Focus:  Given for an outstanding achievement or a lifetime record of service or achievement. Should be considered role models for women and/or girls.

Eligible Recipient:  Faculty or Staff Member

Population/Frequency:  Campus Wide/Annual Award; early February deadline

Initiated by: Faculty or Staff Member

Procedure:  Submit nomination form; include resume/vitae of nominee, 2-5 letters of support (at least one letter should speak to the candidate's role model/mentor impact or faculty member's scholarly contributions)

Website:  Celebration of Excellence and Achievement Among Women/Distinguished Acievement Award

 

Jean Y. Jew Women's Rights Award

Focus:  Honor those who demonstrate outstanding effort or achievement in improving the status of women on campus.

Eligible Recipient:  Faculty or Staff Member

Population/Frequency:  Campus Wide/Annual Award; late February deadline

Initiated by: Faculty or Staff Member

Procedure:  Submit nomination form; include explanation of nominee's qualifications, accomplishments, current resume or curriculum vitae, up to 3 letters from individuals that elaborate/expand on the nominee's resume or vitae.
