Flexible Pay Awards - Exceptional Performance
Focus: Rewarding exceptional performance which may include rewarding a variety of outcomes and behaviors, e.g. expanded scope of duties, completion of a major project, extraordinary performance, development of significant new initiatives, cost savings and/or revenue generation.
Eligible Recipient: Professional & Scientific Exempt (Permanent appointment, 50% time or greater)
Population/Frequency: Campus Wide/Ongoing Award (Maximum of two times per fiscal year, up to 10% of salary)
Initiated by: Supervisor
Procedure: Approved and funded at Department Level; Special Compensation Payment submitted through the HR Transaction System (Workflow) for further approval Form: Lump Sum Flex Pay

Flexible Pay Awards - Spot Performance
Focus: Compensation for extra meritorious performance - Amount of award up to $75 (net)
Eligible Recipient: Professional & Scientific Exempt (Permanent appointment, 50% time or greater)
Population/Frequency: Campus Wide/Ongoing (No more than four per fiscal year, must be 30 days apart)
Initiated by: Supervisor
Procedure: Approved and funded at Department Level; Special Compensation Payment submitted through the HR Transaction System (Workflow) for further approval Form: P&S SPOT Payment

Making a Difference - UI Health Care
