Review summary of October meeting prepared by University of Iowa
Information requests of 90% data- report not provided as the process of gathering data is not yet streamlined. Information will be shared at a later date.
Iowa River Landing- Workers at Iowa River Landing will be employed by UI Healthcare; Classifications that are currently contract covered will continue to be for those employees. Transfer rights will be worked out locally and eventually posted on the ELR website. Some departments will be moving there completely and others will be splitting with only a partial move to Iowa River Landing. Estimated time frame for the opening of this facility is 2012.
Guest Bob Huber- RE: IMU construction- Bob discussed concerns that workers are having regarding the construction at IMU. Questions that have come up: When are the kitchens closing? When is construction going to start? Where are the workers going to be reassigned? Will there be a catering kitchen? What are the time lines for this project? Per Shannon Bartlett University Housing and Dining and IMU Food Service Operations will be merging July 1, 2011 but the details of this construction at IMU and what effects it will have are not known at this time. Josey Bathke will contact David Grady regarding these questions and inform LMC of the information gathered.
