Union Item: Data on hours worked by 90% Employees at UIHC
The following numbers for UI Health Care employees working 90% for at least one day during the month of September were:
Total 450
No additional hours: 71
.1 to less than 10 hours: 135
10 hours to less than 20 hour: 109
20 hours or more: 135
Union Item: Scheduling details for monthly/regular Local 12 meetings held after 5 pm.
Steward Meeting – 3rd Monday of each month from 5 pm – 8 pm
General and Executive Meeting – 1st Thursday of each month
Executive Meeting – from 5:30 – 6:30 pm
General Meeting – at 6:30 pm
Union Item: Continuation of the PNA Code Green Discussion
Postponed until December Labor Management meeting
Union Item: Starting a Safety Steering Committee at UIHC
Union inquired about starting a Safety Steering at UIHC and they would like to pick the union member to be on the committee. Josey clarified that there is already a Safety Committee in place at UIHC and AFSCME had previously appointed a member (Gary Stockinger) to that committee. The union is encouraged to utilize the committee that is already in existence to discuss safety issues/concerns at UIHC. Josey will provide more information about this committee to the LMC group at or before the December 16th Labor Management meeting.
Union Item: Local 12 leadership changes and if/how that might play a role in the Labor Management process.
Labor Management meetings process will follow the CBA.
