What if eating healthy were more like a game and less like a chore? It can be with The Good Stuff! Good Food, Great Feelings…Join the Challenge Today! The Good Stuff runs from November 5 - December 30!

What is The Good Stuff?

The Good Stuff provides you ample motivation to develop healthy eating habits the www.ChooseMyPlate.gov way. Complete the weekly health activities and track your progress to move through the levels. Along the way, you will receive helpful health tips from Hopper, the official challenge mascot! This 8-week program will run November 5 to December 30, 2012. Register starting October 7, 2012.

Why should I get involved?

Developing healthy eating habits is vital to total wellness. While it is much easier to focus all of our energy on cardiovascular exercise, to experience true wellness we also need to provide our bodies with optimal fuel in the form of healthy foods. This challenge will push you to reach your healthy eating goals!

What do I get if I complete the challenge?

In addition to better eating habits and health, each participant receives up to 400 points to the Wellness Store! You’ll receive 100 points for registering and another 300 points for completing the Challenge Evaluation at the end.

There are four levels in the challenge

LEVEL 1: Make Half Your Plate Fruits and Veggies

Week 1 (November 5-11) - Focus on Fruits

Week 2 (November 12-18) - It’s Easy to Eat More Veggies!

LEVEL 2: Switch to Fat-Free or Low-Fat (1%) Milk

Week 3 (November 19-25) - Dairy is Not Only Delicious

Week 4 (November 26-December 2) - Milk or Cheese?

LEVEL 3: Make Half Your Grains Whole

Week 5 (December 3-9) - Easing Into Whole Grains

Week 6 (December 10-16) - Cooking With Whole Grains

LEVEL 4: Drink Water Instead of Sugary Drinks

Week 7 (December 17-23) - Liquid Sugar

Week 8 (December 24-30) - Game Over
